Arches National Park is called "Arches" because... well... it's full of arches. Here are some pictures. Sure most of the pictures don't show the arches, but we'll get to those later.

Arches National Park As Elaine points out, the park lies atop an underground salt bed that is basically responsible for the arches, spires, balanced rocks, sandstone fins, and eroded monoliths of this mecca. To learn more, go to the Arches National Park site.
